Our living room TV stand needed to be childproofed. In all honesty, the control seems to function better now, so I assume that either the repeater emits a brighter IR blast or it is more sensitive to receiving the original signal because, unlike before, when you had to aim precisely, it now appears to function regardless of circumstances. Would buy this again in the event that I needed it!
