The battery seems to fit better upside down, which is strange to me. I didn't know this was the reason it wasn't operating for around half an hour. I turned the battery over; it feels a little loose in the tray, but it fits well and functions as intended! Be not as foolish as I was:) It doesn't seem like there is a marking indicating which direction the battery goes through. I'm thrilled that it works for my Sony A6400 for $8.

Because it has a keychain hole to hang it on a lanyard and keep it handy, I chose this small model. free up my hands to make camera adjustments and avoid losing anything. I initially believed it to be ineffective. When I opened the package backwards, the instructions remained firmly embedded at the bottom. The button battery that it utilizes is a CR 2025, which is inexpensive and easy to locate. Following the directions to adjust the battery position, the remote operated flawlessly.
